In
Travelers Rest, we cleared and graded a group of wooded residential lots. Our crew took down trees, cut the rear wall, graded the lots and the middle slope, compacted fill, and finished with silt fence and erosion control. On another Travelers Rest job we did final grading around a new home under construction, and on a third we graded a yard and laid new sod. Up the road near
Marietta, we cleared brush and small trees and graded a large pad with a dozer. North of town, we also handled
Hurricane Helene debris cleanup, clearing more than 10,000 cubic yards of storm debris.
Travelers Rest sits where Greenville County starts climbing toward the mountains, so many lots here are wooded and sloped. On a steep lot, the grade has to send water away from the house and off the driveway, with silt fence or wattles in place until grass takes. Red clay left bare on a slope washes in the first hard rain, so we get it seeded, strawed or sodded as soon as grading is done.
